Strategic Robotic Systems ("SRS", "we", "us") designs and manufactures the FUSION hybrid underwater vehicle. This policy explains what personal data we collect through srsfusion.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
It covers visitors to this website. It does not cover data we process under a contract with a customer, which is governed by that agreement.
Strategic Robotic Systems, Inc. is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are part of the General Oceans group.
We have not appointed a representative in the European Union or the United Kingdom under Article 27 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are in either territory you can contact us directly using the details above, and you retain the right to complain to your local supervisory authority as described in the Complaints section below.
When you complete a contact form, request a quote, apply for a role or email us, we collect the information you provide. This is typically your name, email address, telephone number, employer and the content of your enquiry.
When you visit the site we may collect your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, and the site or search term that referred you. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies, and only where you have consented to the relevant category. See the Cookies and similar technologies section below.
We do not collect special category data, such as health, biometric or political data, through this website. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Under the GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each purpose. Ours are set out below.
A cookie is a small file stored on your device by a website. We use cookies to make the site work, to understand how it is used, and to support our marketing.
Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you make a choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are held inactive until you accept the relevant category in our cookie banner. You can accept all, reject all, or choose categories individually, and rejecting is as easy as accepting.
You can change your mind at any time using the Manage Cookie Preferences control in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the site may then stop working.
Required for the site to function. These cannot be switched off and are set without consent, as permitted for cookies strictly necessary to deliver a service you have requested.
Set only with your consent. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used and how visitors reach us. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.
Set only with your consent. We use HubSpot to manage enquiries and to understand which content leads people to contact us.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it with the following recipients.
We may also disclose personal data where we are required to do so by law, in response to a valid request from a public authority, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If our business is transferred, we will tell you before your data becomes subject to a different policy.
We are based in the United States and several of our providers are located there. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your personal data will be transferred outside your home territory.
Where we transfer personal data from the EEA or the UK to the United States, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension. Google, HubSpot and Cloudflare are each certified under that framework. Our website hosting is provided from the United Kingdom and does not involve a transfer out of the UK.
Transfers to General Oceans group companies are made on the basis of appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR.
You may request further information about these safeguards by contacting us using the details at the end of this policy.
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights over your personal data. These rights are not absolute and some apply only in particular circumstances.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. We do not charge a fee, and we may ask you to confirm your identity before we act.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so that we can try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls and supplier due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, where we rely on consent to provide an online service to a child, that consent must be given or authorised by a person with parental responsibility if the child is under the applicable age, which is 16 in some countries and as low as 13 in others. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Our site links to sites we do not control, including LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. This policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their policies before providing personal data.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date at the top. Where changes are significant, we will give you a more prominent notice.
